The latest KPMG and REC UK Report on Jobs survey showed a slight improvement in UK hiring in September, with permanent placements rising at their fastest pace in four years. Temporary billings also increased, while demand for workers continued to decline at its slowest rate in over two years. Pay growth eased, while staff availability continued to rise amid redundancies and fewer job opportunities, although at the slowest rate in three years.
