When we look back on 2025 at Mach Recruitment, the year stands out for more than just recruitment success. It was also a year where our people came together to support causes that genuinely make a difference.
Thanks to the collective effort of colleagues across the business, we’re incredibly proud to have raised over £170,000 for charity during the year. From large-scale events to industry initiatives and client-led fundraising, our teams showed just how powerful a shared purpose can be.
It’s a reminder that when people come together behind something meaningful, the impact can be far greater than any single effort alone.
Supporting The Boparan Charitable Trust
A major focus of our fundraising in 2025 was our continued partnership with The Boparan Charitable Trust, with £128,000 raised to support their work.
The trust provides vital support for children and young people across the UK living with disabilities and life-limiting conditions. For many families, that support comes in the form of essential items that can transform daily life, from specialist wheelchairs and therapy equipment to sensory tools and educational resources.
Understanding the real difference these donations make has been incredibly motivating for our teams. Knowing that our fundraising helps provide practical support for families when they need it most makes every challenge, event and late-night planning session worthwhile.
Stepping Up to the Challenge
To reach our fundraising goal, the Mach team traded their office attire and hi-vis vests for running shoes, oars, and golf clubs.
One of the toughest tests came at Tough Mudder, where participants faced miles of mud, obstacles and cold water in the name of charity. It wasn’t pretty, but the determination to push through for a good cause kept everyone moving.
Next up, we took to the water for the Dragon Boat Race. Success there depended on teamwork and rhythm, with every paddle stroke needing to be perfectly in sync. It was competitive, energetic and a brilliant way to bring people together for the cause.
And of course, there was Boparan’s 10th Annual Charity Golf Day, which brought colleagues, clients and partners together on the course. Alongside some friendly competition, the day offered a great opportunity to connect with others in our industry while continuing to build support for the charity.
Beyond these events, our teams also participated in a variety of industry fundraising activities and client-led initiatives, helping to raise an additional £42,000 over the course of the year. We collaborated with our clients across a broad range of sectors – from leading e-commerce brands to food production and large-scale logistics companies. Through these events, we were proud to support several important charities, including:
- National Literacy Trust, who work with schools and communities to equip children with the literacy skills they need to succeed in life.
- Scope, a leading UK disability charity that supports disabled people and their families.
- GroceryAid, who provides emotional, practical, and financial support to people working in the grocery industry.
Each event played a part in helping us reach our final fundraising total.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Raising £170,000 for charity is something everyone at Mach Recruitment is incredibly proud of. But more than anything, it sets the bar for what we want to achieve next.
The stories of the children and families supported through The Boparan Charitable Trust are a powerful reminder of why these efforts matter. They’re also a big part of what motivates our teams to keep pushing further.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who gave their time, energy and donations to make this possible – our colleagues, clients, partners and wider Mach community.
Together, we’ve done more than support hiring across the UK this year. We’ve helped provide real support for families who need it most.
